I wanted to express my thanks and admiration to you for the terrific job you did on the Laurelhurst project. I brought you onboard in a very difficult situation and gave you some fairly stringent parameters to operate within, and you performed magnificently, with style and aplomb.

I appreciated your forthrightness in presenting your choices and ideas. I also appreciated your willingness to work with the other members of the “team” to achieve the best results. Your participation in this project was invaluable. You were able to translate my desire for “subtle elegance” superbly. I consider that look to be the most difficult for a designer to achieve… yet you did it with ease.

Melissa, I look forward to the day we can work together again. Until that time, spread your wings, keep your standards high, insist on excellence, and share your art with the world. If you ever need a reference and/or recommendation, I would be honored too provide one for you. I was able to share a marvelous experience with you and the others involved with Laurelhurst. Again, thanks, I will recall our time together with fondness and respect always.
